THE NOODLE SHOP ON THE CORNER OF FOURTH STREET

About the show

Workaholic journalist Maggie Wu is stuck writing online obituaries whilst daydreaming about purple smoothies, one-upping her work nemesis, and finally writing her big break. One fateful lie later, she finds herself spiralling into a dream both surreal and nightmare! Maggie is submerged within her own thriller psyche into a world of comic mystery. Chasing ghosts and stray cats through international waters, she faces her past, the truth of her family lore, and the Pacific Ocean’s resistance… Add a healthy dose of Miyazaki-esque storytelling and a sprinkle of Kafka horror and you get a bilingual, genre-bending fantasia spectacular! The Noodle Shop on the Corner of Fourth Street is an inventive new work from one of Australia’s most exciting young artists, Grace Chow (Dog Park, Mystery Road: Origin).
