About the show

In 1997, the computer surpassed humans in chess for the first time. At the close of the 20th century, rapid advancements in science and technology raised urgent questions about humanity's future. Based on Benjamín Labatut's novel, adapted for the stage by Calixto Bieito and directed by him, MANIAC explores the boundary between human and machine intelligence.
