Schaubühne

The Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz is one of Berlin’s most prestigious and avant-garde theatres. Located on the Kurfürstendamm in Wilmersdorf, it is housed in a spectacular 1928 modernist building designed by architect Erich Mendelsohn. Known for its politically and socially engaged repertoire, it regularly features English and French surtitles. Led by artistic director Thomas Ostermeier since 1999, the Schaubühne operates as an ensemble theater with a permanent roster of actors, including stars like Lars Eidinger. It offers a mix of classic plays, contemporary works, dance, and musical theatre.
