Michael Bauer

Michael Bauer is a German lighting designer who began his career as a trainee at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich in 1980 and has held the position of Head of the Lighting Department there since 1998. He has worked extensively across Europe's major opera houses, including the Paris Opéra, Staatsoper Berlin, Teatro alla Scala, Semperoper Dresden, Mariinsky Theatre, and the Royal Opera House, establishing himself as a prominent figure in theatrical lighting design.
