Donald Runnicles

Donald Runnicles is a British conductor, pianist, and music director knighted for his contributions to the performing arts. Born in 1954, he studied at George Watson's College and George Heriot's School in Edinburgh, before reading music at St John's College, University of Edinburgh. Recognized with both the Officer and Commander of the Order of the British Empire, he was subsequently appointed Knight Bachelor in acknowledgement of his distinguished career leading major opera houses and orchestras across Europe and beyond.
