Steffen Link

Steffen Link is playwright and actor. Born in Darmstadt, he studied German and drama/cultural anthropology in Mainz. In 2010-2015, he studied acting at the Arts University in Bern and Zurich. Steffen regularly develops his own theater works, e.g. for the Sprungturm Festival in Darmstadt, and writes texts for play developments such as CITTÀ DEL VATICANO with Falk Richter at Schauspielhaus Wien, HAPPY WE LIVED ON A PLANET with Mervan Ürkmez at Schauspiel Dortmund, or FEELING FAUST with Claudia Bossard at Munich’s Volkstheater. Link’s debut play DER VEREIN premiered at Schauspielhaus Wien in the 2023/24 season and was nominated for the Nestroy Prize as “Best Play”. His text DINGE, DIE EINFACH WAHR SIND is nominated for the Retzhofer Dramapreis 2023.
