ROCKET CANDY

Jigu, a 17-year-old girl who lives with her eyes fixed solely on the sky, dreams of going to the Moon for her father, whom she has been separated from since the age of eight. Her only talent and hobby is building rockets that can fly using “rocket candy,” a mixture of sugar and potassium nitrate. One day, one of Jigu’s rockets explodes, injuring several people. As a result, she is sent to a juvenile detention center. The moment she arrives, she meets Uju, an arsonist, who appears before her as she struggles to give up her rocket candy. Together, Jigu and Uju secretly steal sugar, make potassium nitrate, and succeed in creating a new batch of rocket candy... rocket candy a rocket propellant or a bomb? Can Jigu escape the juvenile detention center—or rather, escape Earth itself—and make her way into space?
