LIAR TIME

In the near future, society is thrown into chaos by child abductions, fraud, and widespread deception. To restore order, President Cha Dae-ho introduces a new policy called “Liar Time,” using a system developed by Dr. Ahn. Every citizen is fitted with a lie detector that allows them to lie only during designated hours, while social media is completely banned. Although the policy brings stability, communication between people gradually declines, and the only time the streets come alive is during Liar Time itself. Meanwhile, Dr. Ahn's younger brother, Ahn Dante, becomes increasingly dissatisfied with this controlled society. While visiting the Dream Ward, a facility for people addicted to lying, he discovers a loophole in the system: when someone genuinely wishes for something, the lie detector does not sound. After successfully hacking the system, Dante sets off a chain of events that leads President Cha to abolish Liar Time altogether and impose round-the-clock surveillance of citizens' words.
