About the show

Mefistofele is a highly ambitious Italian opera composed and written by Arrigo Boito, famously known as the brilliant librettist behind Giuseppe Verdi’s late masterpieces Otello and Falstaff. Standing as the only opera Boito ever fully completed, Mefistofele uniquely covers both parts of Goethe's Faust—capturing not just the tragic earthly romance of Faust and Margherita, but also the broader philosophical and metaphysical journey into Ancient Greece.
