Selina Cartmell directs Sondheim’s breathtaking classic, a life-affirming fairy-tale for adults, starring Michelle Gomez and Michael D. Xavier. ‘I frequently laugh myself to sleep contemplating my own future.’ Sondheim’s enchanting musical follows mismatched couples as they waltz through a series of romantic misfires, desire and self-delusions, all in search of a happy ending. This lighter-than-air confection of witty characters and and magical songs features Sondheim’s bittersweet masterpiece, ‘Send in the Clowns’. Old, young and middle-aged alike are equally determined in this Tony award winning musical comedy.
