“Tonight, perhaps my wife, who took her own life, may come to our study.” It has been a year since Seongju’s wife, Haewon, died by suicide. Seongju tells those around him that he does not feel as though Haewon is dead at all. Rather, he explains that it feels more as though Haewon has gone away on a journey somewhere far away by herself. Sooyoung, who majored in counseling psychology, advises Seongju not to turn away from his emotions. Seongju explains that, rather than denying what happened, he is trying to make himself truly feel the reality of it. He says he is fine, but he is struggling. On some nights, his dead wife Haewon comes into the study the two of them once shared.
