THE GETAWAY DRIVER

About the show

A world premiere drama inspired by the true story of Katherine Ann Power, a young activist who drove the getaway car for a 1970 robbery intended to fund political change. When the heist ended in tragedy and a death, she fled and became the longest-fugitive woman on the FBI's Most Wanted List. More than two decades later, she emerges from hiding ready to reveal her account. The play unfolds as another perspective surfaces: the voice of the daughter of the person killed that day. This theatrical exploration traces the lasting consequences of a single choice, balancing competing narratives of activism, accountability, and loss.
