About the show

Wild Rose is a new musical adaptation of Nicole Taylor's acclaimed 2018 film. Fresh from prison, Rose-Lynn Harlan dreams of escaping Glasgow to pursue a career as a country music singer, driven by her passion for the genre. Her mother Marion demands she abandon this fantasy and focus on her two young children instead. Taking a cleaning job, Rose-Lynn finds unexpected support from her employer Susannah, who believes in her talent. The production features original music alongside songs from country legends including Wynonna Judd, Caitlyn Smith, The Chicks, and Patty Griffin, including the film's award-winning song Glasgow (No Place Like Home). Directed by John Tiffany and choreographed by Steven Hoggett and Vicki Manderson, this uplifting musical explores the tension between maternal responsibility and personal ambition, asking whether pursuing one's dreams at any cost leads to genuine fulfillment.
