About the show

On the surface, the Goodman family appears to be an ordinary family of four. At its center is Diana, a mother living with the wounds of her past; her cheerful eldest son, who seems to have no worries at all; Natalie, a daughter who feels alienated from her mother; and Dan, a father desperately trying to hold his troubled family together. Despite Dan’s constant efforts, Diana’s wounds only deepen, taking an emotional toll on the entire family. But rather than trying to preserve the image of a “normal” family, they begin to truly face one another’s pain. And in doing so, they discover a new kind of hope—one that may not be ordinary, but exists somewhere within reach of it.
