About the show

Set in 1960s Oklahoma, The Outsiders explores the deep class divide between the Greasers, a group of working-class teenagers, and the wealthy Socs. Sensitive Greaser teenager Ponyboy Curtis and his best friend Johnny are forced into hiding after Johnny kills the leader of the Socs in self-defense. Their lives take an even more tragic turn when Johnny is seriously injured while rescuing children from a burning church. A coming-of-age story about friendship, violence, class conflict, and finding your place in a divided world.
