What if one choice you make in this moment could completely change the course of your life? After her divorce, Elizabeth returns to New York to start a new chapter. On her first day back in the city after twelve years, she meets Kate, an energetic new neighbor, and Lucas, her former graduate school classmate, at Madison Square Park. Kate gives Elizabeth the nickname “Liz,” while Lucas calls her “Beth.” Kate invites her to stay and listen to a guitarist performing in the park, while Lucas asks her to join a protest for better housing conditions. From Elizabeth’s choice, two parallel lives begin to unfold: the life of “Liz” and the life of “Beth.” Liz’s Life While listening to the guitarist with Kate in the park, Liz meets Josh, a soldier who has recently returned from deployment, but she brushes him off. By chance, she runs into Josh again on the subway. He gives her his contact information, but once again, Liz ignores him. Later, during a blind date with a man she dislikes, Liz uses the sight of Josh passing by as an excuse to escape. After three seemingly fateful encounters, Liz finally agrees to go on a date with Josh... After one divorce, Liz has returned to New York to start over. Could true love finally be waiting for her? Beth’s Life While reminiscing about their graduate school days in the park, Lucas impulsively kisses Beth. Confused by her friend’s sudden kiss, Beth soon runs into Stephen, another former classmate from graduate school. He offers her a position as Deputy Director of New York City’s urban planning department. As her career as an urban planner begins to take off, Lucas and Stephen—who studied alongside her in graduate school—gradually begin expressing their feelings for her in their own ways. After one divorce, Beth has devoted herself entirely to her career. Between Lucas and Stephen, who will be her destined partner?
