About the show

A Broadway world premiere written by MacArthur Fellow Dominique Morisseau and directed by Kamilah Forbes, *Mix and Master* centers on the final days of a historic record shop in the Bronx. As the owner and a rising DJ clash over the store's fate, their conflict becomes a deeper reckoning about cultural legacy and survival. The production features live DJ sets throughout, blending hip-hop and jazz into a theatrical experience that examines what it means to keep music and community alive.
