Sally presents herself as perpetually cheerful, rarely showing sadness or allowing minor difficulties to affect her mood. However, she struggles with an undisclosed illness that contradicts her outward persona and prevents her from being the person she wishes to be. Written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Jon Brittain and composer Matthew Floyd Jones, this cabaret musical explores depression through humor and vulnerability. The production examines themes of mental health and self-acceptance, emphasizing that it is acceptable to experience and acknowledge emotional difficulty.
