When a newspaper headline announces that a man accused of a serious crime is a member of her family, the ordinary life of a mother unravels. The glances directed at her shift from care to suspicion and resentment, each carrying an unspoken accusation. A family—consisting of two sons and their mother, Brenda—faces this crisis. As one son refuses to attend school and the other awaits sentencing for a grave offense, the mother is forced to navigate an impossible situation. The production raises a challenging question: how far can understanding extend before it becomes complicity in responsibility itself? Director Ryu Joo-yeon orchestrates the piece with careful attention to silence and emotional distance, using video imagery and a commanding ensemble performance to build inexorable tension.
