Young-ji is a youth theater production that reimagines a fantastical world called Byeongmokan through the perspective of an imaginative eleven-year-old character. The 2026 production uniquely incorporates sign language as a primary mode of communication, featuring accomplished Deaf actors alongside the title performer. The narrative follows Young-ji's arrival in this meticulously ordered place, where her unconventional way of seeing and expressing the world—from filling a landscape painting canvas with cabbages to inventing vivid imaginative games—gradually disrupts the community's rigid structure. As other children become drawn into her creative vision, the foundation of Byeongmokan's apparent perfection begins to crack, revealing hidden depths beneath the surface.
