About the show

Yellow Moon is a contemporary youth theater work that follows two teenagers, Lee and Leila, who meet by chance and flee together on an unexpected journey north. Lee is a troubled boy living with his depressed mother; Leila is an accomplished student from a middle-class family who does not speak. When a murder occurs, both find themselves on the run, and their footsteps draw audiences into an uncharted emotional landscape. The play weaves together imagination, melancholy, and dark humor as the pair navigate questions of escape, identity, and life's deeper cycles. Written by David Greig and directed by Tony Graham, the production employs restrained visual metaphor and fluid movement between narration and action to blur the boundary between reality and stage. The work has gained international recognition since its Scottish premiere, including recognition as one of Time Magazine's Best New Plays of 2006, a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and the TMA Award for Best Show for
