Claudia is struggling with unemployment and a fractured relationship with her mother when an unusual opportunity presents itself: a job in the underworld as an assistant to Meng Po, the Goddess of Oblivion. Her role is to erase memories from the living. At first, Claudia finds purpose in this strange employment, but she soon discovers she can discreetly alter the memories of friends and family—minor adjustments that seem harmless. However, when a mortal meddles with sacred forces, consequences follow. Playwright Eric Jiang and director Nicole Pingon create an epic underworld narrative exploring themes of family dysfunction, forgetting, and what happens when the divine is treated as a commodity.
