About the show

Red 'n Blue Theatre Company presents a traditional staging of Shakespeare's Othello directed by Gerard Lee. The production follows the tragic unfolding of the play as Iago's machinations transform Othello's love into jealousy and erode his trust, culminating in Shakespeare's devastating conclusion. Performed as a full theatrical production with professional staging, design, and direction, this version is tailored for Leaving Certificate students encountering the tragedy for the first time. The company, founded by husband-and-wife team Dylan Kennedy and Jenny Fennessy, brings extensive experience from leading theatres including the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, and Abbey Theatre. The production features a nine-person cast and creative team including set and lighting design by Dermot Quinn and sound design by Chris Somers.
