Jessica Parks has built a brilliant career as a judge at London’s Crown Court, presiding primarily over cases of sexual assault. She is raising her son with feminist values—but then, he is suddenly accused of rape himself. In that moment, not only her professional identity but also her understanding of justice, responsibility, and motherhood are shaken. She faces a choice: does she protect her family, or does she stand uncompromisingly for the values she has defended throughout her career? Suzie Miller, herself a lawyer, combines legal precision with emotional impact in her new play. With keen insight into human nature, she tells the story of a woman asserting herself within the power structures of a tradition-bound legal system—successful in her career, yet facing immense personal challenges. "Inter Alia" is a highly topical drama about power, morality, and the agonizing conflict between a public stance and a mother’s boundless love. It is a play for anyone who loves intelligent, emotionally moving theater that lingers in the memory long after the curtain falls.
