A panorama of the bourgeois state of unrest Lawyer Bassow has invited a few friends and acquaintances to Davos for a digital detox. Between the Grisons mountains and mobile phone deprivation, flirtations and quarrels ensue. But the general deep crisis of meaning can only be covered up in a makeshift manner. Identity and intelligence seem to exist only digitally, while the political reality somewhere out there is terribly analogue. Maxim Gorky wrote the play ‹Summer Guests› in 1904 on the eve of the revolution and the great wars of the 20th century. Dietmar Dath has rewritten it for the Basel theatre. He tells the story of the comfortable bohemian bourgeoisie as people of today in a quick-witted and humorous way.
