About the show

Little Miss Sunshine is a musical comedy based on the 2006 Oscar-winning film ⁠Little Miss Sunshine. It features a book and direction by James Lapine and a score by William Finn. The story centers on the highly dysfunctional Hoover family from Albuquerque as they embark on an 800-mile cross-country road trip in a clunky, unreliable Volkswagen bus. Their destination is the "Little Miss Sunshine" pre-teen beauty pageant in California, where seven-year-old Olive is competing.
