About the show

The Apiary is a science-fiction dark comedy by playwright Kate Douglas. Set 22 years in the future where honeybees are nearly extinct, the plot follows lab researchers attempting to restore the bee population—ultimately realizing that satiating the bees' new, shocking appetites requires human volunteers.
