About the show

The play follows the Dahl family, who are devoutly Christian and have a unique tradition of breaking out into flawless, harmonized Christmas carols during moments of friction. As the siblings and their respective partners gather under one roof, the seemingly idyllic family gatherings begin to unravel. The title, Cult of Love, reflects the playwright's central thesis: the family is the one inescapable "cult" we are all born into. It serves as the culmination of Headland's "Seven Deadly Plays" series, specifically tackling the sin of pride.
