About the show

Martin McDonagh’s acclaimed play The Beauty Queen of Leenane was revived at London's ⁠Young Vic Theatre for a highly successful run in 2010. Directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, and starred Rosaleen Linehan as the manipulative mother Mag and Susan Lynch as her daughter Maureen. The dark comedy centers on Maureen Folan, a 40-year-old lonely woman trapped in a claustrophobic, isolated existence as the caregiver to her aging, demanding mother, Mag.
