About the show

The world premiere of the musical Evita took place at the Prince Edward Theatre in London's West End on June 21, 1978. Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, this iconic production went on to win "Musical of the Year" at the Olivier Awards (then known as the SWET Awards).
