About the show
What tyranny cannot crush In Richard III, Shakespeare painted a portrait of a man who comes to power without shying away from violence, lies and manipulation, and who tries to hold on to that power at any cost. Director Alize Zandwijk and dramaturg Liet Lenshoek bring this story into 2027 and add a crucial voice: that of a woman living under occupation. The oppressor and the oppressed, side by side on stage.
