Set in 1640, Kingdom Come explores the English Civil War as Parliament rebels, mobs fill London's streets, and England, Ireland and Scotland teeter on the brink of devastating conflict. King Charles I plays a god in Whitehall while women preach, poor men lead, and radical ideas illuminate the carnage. As the puritan state tightens its grip, making theatre becomes a capital offence. Actors and audiences moved around The Other Place, exploring the political highs and lows of the English Civil War and its dramatic aftermath. Directed by Gemma Brockis and Wendy Hubbard.
