Experience Iben Hjejle and Alexander Bryld Obaze in the theatrical adaptation of Katrine Marie Guldager’s sharp-witted and critically acclaimed novel. Lotte has been abandoned by the love of her life, Michael, and, to make matters worse, has also been dismissed from her job as a social worker. Then, out of the blue, Michael’s grown-up son, Daniel, calls—he has been unable to reach his father. Together, they discover Michael dead in his flat. As Lotte and Daniel attempt to unravel the mystery of Michael’s sudden death, she is unwillingly drawn into her neighbour’s turbulent marital crisis, disrupted by her job consultant’s relentless demands for CV-writing courses, and confronted by former colleagues who—full of sympathy—lament her unfair dismissal. On top of it all, she finds herself looking after her neighbour’s children while the neighbour resolves her marriage troubles in Lotte’s own bed. Another Day in God's Creation is part of Katrine Marie Guldager’s trilogy, Angry Women, which lays bare the cracks in the welfare state and the fractures in our communities. When no one takes their turn cleaning the stairwell in the housing cooperative, the stairs simply never get cleaned. Lotte is one of those women who fights to make the world a better place—armed with anger and a sharp sense of humour—even as she herself teeters on the edge. Camille Sieling Langdal directs a production where everything is falling apart, and we come to realise that, in the end, all we truly have is one another.
