Bavarian State Opera
Faust, an opera in five acts by Charles Gounod (libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré), follows an ageing scholar who makes a pact with the Devil Méphistophélès, exchanging his soul for eternal youth and love. He falls for Marguerite, whose tragic fate unfolds through abandonment, madness, and ultimate redemption. A co-production with the Teatr Wielki - Opera Narodowa, Warsaw. Performed in French with surtitles in German and English. New Production at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
