Bühnen Bern
Edith holds a dark secret to her brother Klaus. She reads the Bible. He invests in the stock market. On the anniversary of her beloved's death, she wants to visit his grave. Klaus prevents this. He brings her to her senses, just as he had the day before with a nutcracker. Then he wants to take her to a literary soirée, because Klaus loves art. At the subway station, Stein appears. Edith bleeds, and Klaus calls an ambulance, which Stein uses to kiss Edith's delicate foot. The next day, Edith makes a date with Stein. They begin to make love. But Stein breaks Edith's heart, because he wants nothing to do with someone who harbors such a dark secret. This play deals with the economics of human relationships, but also with the ghosts of the past, and describes, with dark humor, a journey into the deeper layers of human existence.
