Teatro Milán
A Spanish-language premiere staging of Jack Holden’s one-man play, this production centers queer life in 1980s Soho and the generation marked by the HIV/AIDS crisis. Alejandro Speitzer performs the monologue and also produces, alongside Sergio Gabriel and Óscar Uriel, with direction by Alonso Íñiguez. The show runs about 110 minutes and is recommended for ages 12+. It plays at Teatro Milán (Foro Lucerna), a mid-size theater in Colonia Juárez close to Metro Cuauhtémoc and Metrobús Reforma. An electronic score by John Patrick Elliott runs through the piece, with the music and DJ setup working as part of the storytelling rather than background sound. The season follows a packed weekend schedule with two performances each day from Friday to Sunday.
