About the show

The National Opera of Korea’s regular performance, the Korean contemporary opera *Hwajenga*, is an original contemporary opera that captures Korean history and sentiment. Performed in Korean (including dialects), this work expresses Korea's historical sentiments through song, offering a deeply moving experience to the audience. The performance includes a smoking scene (special effects).
