About the show

The Duke on 42nd Street LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's initiative devoted to producing work by new artists and building new audiences, presented the world premiere of WHAT ONCE WE FELT as the first of three productions during the 2009-2010 season. In a city by the river, some time in the future, the last novel ever to be published in print is in limbo. Its author, Macy O. Blonsky, must decide how far she will go to get her creation into the world. Her agent persuades her to make a sacrifice (just a little DNA) to help her get her book published, but will it work? And is it worth it? WHAT ONCE WE FELT examines the cost of sacrifice, the art of the printed word, and the consequences of having dinner with your agent.
