The Sentimental Bloke is a 1961 Australian musical based on Songs of a Sentimental Bloke by C.J. Dennis. Bill searches for love and finds Doreen, a girl who works in a pickle factory. Their romance is tested by jealousy, misunderstandings, a rival suitor named Smithers, and a confrontation at the Melbourne Cup, before they must decide their future together. Presented by Neglected Musicals in association with Hayes Theatre Co.
