Fanny wants out. Her outback town is all mining and money, no one will read her short story about a stallion, and now the people of the town are getting sick. Old Doctor Littlewood’s reverse orchiectomies aren’t helping. But when the dashing and visionary Doctor Waterman turns up, Fanny might just have a reason to stay. Until the sick start devouring the living. Fanny will have to take a radical approach to healthcare if she wants to get out of town alive. Bursting into the newly renovated SBW Stables, Quack teams up Ian Wilding (winner of the 2010 Patrick White Award and writer of October) with director Chris Mead (The Modern International Dead). Blisteringly funny and provocative in equal measure, Quack is a mash-up of A Country Practice, Deadwood and Shaun of the Dead– a romantic historical western drama noir exploitation comedy. With zombies.
