Gary McNair

Gary is an award-winning writer and performer based in Glasgow, known for creating work that is both thought-provoking and entertaining. Since graduating from the RSAMD, now the RCS, in 2007, he has built an international career, with his work reaching audiences across the world in countries including the United States, Australia, Germany, Japan, and Portugal. A regular contributor to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Gary has been recognised with four Scotsman Fringe First awards. His recent achievements include winning Best Adaptation at the 2025 BBC Audio Drama Awards. He is currently developing new commissioned projects across theatre, audio, and screen.
