Robert Pickens

Robert Pickens is a New York-based hair, wig, and makeup designer for theatre, film, and television. Founder of Wigmaker Associates, he has designed for prominent Broadway productions including *Death of a Salesman*, *Stereophonic*, *Romeo + Juliet*, and *The Roommate*, as well as off-Broadway and regional theatre works such as *McNeal*, *Grey House*, *Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?*, *Tartuffe*, *The Fear of 13*, and the comedy revues *All In* and *All Out*. In 2026, Pickens received the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Wig and Hair Design for his work on *Tartuffe* at New York Theatre Workshop, and was previously nominated for the same award in 2024 for *Stereophonic*.
