Caroline Shaw is an exceptionally versatile American composer, violinist, and vocalist celebrated for her innovative vocal techniques, structural brilliance, and genre-defying collaborations. She began playing the violin at a young age, later earning a Bachelor of Music from Rice University, a Master of Music from Yale University, and pursuing doctoral studies in composition at Princeton University. She built an impressive artistic biography through her work as a core vocalist with the Grammy-winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth, establishing deep ties with prominent institutions such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Seattle Symphony, and the Calidore String Quartet.
