Thompson's credits include roles in For Colored Girls (2010), Selma (2014), Creed (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and Avengers: Infinity War (2018). She also starred in the television shows Veronica Mars (2005–2006), Copper (2012–2013), and Westworld (2016–present). Thompson has received nominations for a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two BAFTA Awards.
