Pearl Cleage

Pearl Cleage is an American novelist and playwright born in 1948. Educated at Spelman College and Howard University, Cleage has established herself as a significant voice in contemporary literature and theatre. Her notable works include the novel *What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day* and the play *Chain*. She is a recipient of the Paul Robeson Award.
