Guy Simon graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2010 and has since become a well-respected and popular performer who has worked extensively on the stage. A proud Birripi Woromi Wodi Wodi Walbanga man, Guy was the 2023 recipient of the Balnaves Foundation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Fellowship. Guy recently worked behind the scenes as assistant director in the Sydney Theatre Company production The Shiralee and was also the assistant director on August: Osage County for Belvoir Theatre Company. Guy has featured frequently in productions for the Sydney Theatre Company, a selection of performing credits include The Visitors (2023), The Tempest (2022), Grand Horizons (2022), Playing Beatie Bow (2021), The Harp in the South (2018), and The Battle of Waterloo (2015). Recently Guy performed in Big Girls Don’t Cry for Belvoir Theatre Company and was previously cast in their rendition of Holding the Man (2024) and My Brilliant Career (2021) directed by Kate Champion. Guy performed in Whitefella Yella Tree (2022), First Love is the Revolution (2019) for Griffin Theatre Company, and was also cast in The Return (2022), Cloudstreet (2019), and Blaque Showgirls (2016) for Malthouse Theatre. Guy was cast in Jasper Jones (2016) for the Melbourne Theatre Company and was awarded the Helpmann Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play for his performance. He has since gone on to perform this role for the Belvoir Theatre Company as well as a tour of NSW. His other theater credits include Stranger in Between (Cameron Lukey Presents), Black Diggers (Queensland Theatre Company), This Fella, My Memory (Moogahlin Performing Arts Inc.), I Am Man (Browns Mart Theatre), Junction (Bakehouse Theatre), and Lucky (IPAN Productions).
