Niels Nuijten

Niels Nuijten is a Dutch dramaturg at Dutch National Opera and joint artistic leader of the Opera Forward Festival since 2023. He is known for his extensive collaboration with composer Michel van der Aa on operatic works including *Eight* (2019), *Upload* (2021), and *Theory of Flames* (2026). Nuijten has also contributed to productions at major festivals, including a staging of *Così fan tutte* at the Salzburg Festival in 2020.
