Heidi Stober

American soprano Heidi Stober, who Opera News exclaimed is a “distinctly American lyric soprano that makes the rest of the world listen” is enjoying an international career with a crystalline voice and method-like commitment to the stage. In the 2025/26 season, Ms. Stober will return to the Metropolitan Opera for Musetta in La bohème, debut the title role in Strauss’ Daphne with Seattle Opera, and in concert, Debussy’s La Damoiselle élue with Sir Donald Runnicles and the Dresden Philharmonic, Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice with Jane Glover and Music of the Baroque in Chicago, Berg’s Seven Early Songs with the Pannon Philharmonic in Hungary, and a Japanese tour of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the New Japan Philharmonic. Future appearances include returns to the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, English National Opera, and more. Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Heidi Stober attended Lawrence University and the New England Conservatory. She continued professional training as a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio and resides in Berlin.
