Kala Gare

Kala grew up in a household full of music, with both her mother (Carmela De Losinno) and her father (Daniel Gare) being performers and teachers of the arts themselves. Watching her parents perform gave Kala a deep appreciation of the craft. Kala trained at the Victorian College of the Arts from 2015 to 2017, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre. Her theatre credits include: Sophie De Palma in Terence McNelly’s Masterclass (Andrew Kay Productions); Maureen in Rent (Chapel Off Chapel); Olivia in Twelfth Night (Melbourne Shakespeare Company); Anastasia Steele in 50 Shades! (David Venn Enterprises); Alice/Ensemble in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Production Company), and Alice in Bright Star (Pursued By Bear). Most recently Kala was a part of the original Australian cast of Six the musical, playing the role of the fierce queen Anne Boleyn. Kala has also obtained her Diploma in Classical Piano. She has worked as the role of Musical Director for PAC’s production of Legally Blonde Junior and Songs for Swinging Lovers (Chapel Off Chapel).
