Creative Collective LAS

Creative Collective LAS is a group of young artists who have come together to make and perform theater with joy. We strive to bring stories about life to the stage through diverse and expressive forms. This effort takes shape in our pursuit of a more progressive stage language that is not confined to any single genre, but draws freely from theater, literature, dance, music, visual art, film, and beyond. Rather than presenting audiences with unfamiliar or one-sided forms of communication, we hope our work will be received through both intellect and emotion, fostering empathy and offering a fresh sense of delight. We believe that all of this begins with play. We believe that if we forget the idea that “theater is play,” the creative process we embark on can never truly be joyful. We are Creative Collective LAS, making theater with joy. LAS is a Sanskrit word associated with “sparkling,” “sudden appearance,” “blazing,” “play,” and “absorption.” Like a comet appearing unexpectedly in the sky, we chose this name in the hope that we would shine in the performing arts scene, bringing an abundance of joy to our performances and keeping the collective’s creative passion burning brightly and endlessly.
